To join the club, a new member needs to first make contact with the president or a member of the committee expressing interest in joining the club. Following this, the new member needs to complete a membership form. Membership forms can be obtained:

 

  1. By downloading from the Cycling Australia website www.cycling.org.au/membership

 

You cannot race if you have not joined the club.

Memberships are for a calendar year from January to January. Renewal is done on-line by accessing the Cycling Australia website. All cycling clubs in NSW (including the Southern Highlands Cycling Club) are affiliated with Cycling Australia. $5 of the membership fee goes to the club with the rest going to Cycling NSW.

2011 Membership will launch in September. Riders will be able to renew/join for the remainder of this year and the full 2011 membership year from September. Important note for novice and first time club riders.

Assement of riding ability and coaching in road racing. You must start in the novice category and ride with our riding coach to ensure safe riding practices are shown and ensure that bunch road riding instruction is given. Your safety is most important.

All new riders are to be registered to ride by 1:30 pm .Ride leaves at 1:45 pm on modified race course.

For NEW MTBA MEMBERS ONLY - please follow the directions as found on the MTBA website:
Interested in joining SHCC:MTB?  If so and you are brand new to MTBA click in the map of Australia (on the MTBA  home page) and then find NSW:Southern Highlands Cycling Club. Fill out all your contact details and click continue. An email will be sent to you with a temporary password. Use the links contained in this email to set up your personal password.

Once your password has been set up you can then 'upgrade' (click through to My Membership) your membership to a full MTBA membership by paying the MTBA and Club fees.

If you turn up to a race without a licence you can purchase a day licence for $15. If you renew your licence online by the next calendar race we can refund the $15.

2011 MEMBERSHIP FEES

Please print out your receipt and present it at all races until your membership card arrives in the mail

Seniors - $100 plus club fee $20 = $120

Juniors - $70 plus club fee $20 = $90 (13-19 years)

Children - $30 - no club fee.

NEW: MTBA has recently introduced a membership for children. The working title is 'DirtMasters' and the membership is for children aged between 3 and under 13 years of age. It costs just $30 plus the club fee. Currently (February 2010) it is limited to cross country styled activity but MTBA are wotking on the policy for extensions to gravity styled activity.

MTBA has previously announced the availability of a Children's membership class. MTBA has set the fee at $30 and is available for children between the age of 3 and under 13. The current Junior membership option has been changed to take in age ranges 13 to under 19 years of age.

Cycling Australia or BMX affiliated licence = $50 (If you have either of these licences already, you pay only $50 for your MTBA licence

Day licence fee = $20
