Following are Strava Segments which represent the different race routes which are used as part of Southern Highlands Races
Mount Gibraltar Hill Climb
Used as part of the road championships, Mount Gibraltar is a challenging Cat 2 Climb which is both challenging & scenic
Greenhills goes by many names (some less encouraging than others) & represents all that the Highlands has to offer in terms of challenging courses with very little in the way of flat terrain. Comes in both Summer (1 lap) & Winter (2 laps) versions & is often used as part of the Southern Division Interclub series of races.
Since being changed in the Summer of 2015, the Hanging Rock course has transformed to a course which has a Classics Finish feel with the final climb to the line favouring those that like a solid climbing sprint
Wombeyan Caves Road
Coming in two flavours (Summer & Winter), Wombeyan Caves road features the same starting climb as that of Greenhills then extended sections of rolling road featuring as much Highlands wind as possible.
Bundanoon is frequently used as the final race in the Southern Division Interclub series & follows the Highland Way from Bundanoon to Tallong & back.
Another Winter course, Canyonleigh is a challenging rolling road with short punchy climbs. Almost always used as part of the Road Racing Championships it demands attention & the ability to maintain a high amount of momentum for extended periods
Eridge Park Velodrome
Eridge Park Velodrome is home of the “Bowral Cup” and the proving ground of many a young State & World Track champion.
The outdoor Velodrome is 333M in length with ~ 30 degree banking with a smooth grippy concrete surface.
Close to both Mittagong & Bowral, Welby is one of the few locations where you can leave your door for a morning ride & be riding single track within 15 mins (or less) of riding
Wingello State Forest is frequently used for Mountain Biking events both short & long.
Trails are well marked for a variety of abilities & are highly maintained by club trail builders
