1. bundanoon. Highlands Trails - Working Bees & Public Meeting
Come and help the Highlands Trail Fairies maintain the network of singletrack in Wingello State Forest! While there is always work to be done on the existing singletrack, some new track is in the pipeline and they need more hands to help make this happen!
Working bees are held on the first Saturday of each month, with the next one on Saturday 19th September . Come and help shape the tracks you love to ride! See www.wildhorizons.com.au/trails/ for all the info.
Highlands Trails held a public meeting on Wednesday 17 June, 6.30pm, at Ye Olde Bicycle Shoppe in Bundanoon. The last meeting was held some 10 months ago so it’s time to give an update on existing trails and discuss future possibilities in the area. All welcome. Click here for further details.
2. Welby
Over the past weeks, Council has had a hazard reduction burn undertaken in the area that some of the MTB track lies within. As a result of this burn, trees that may have been solid and standing have been affected by fire and there is a greater risk of falling trees and branches to all users of this area. This will be the case until the next decent rainfall.
As always, be aware of falling tree and branch hazards after this time, as you know, this is part of how the bush works. The area should be safe with regards to any fire activity.
Also, i'm sure somewhere along the track, a tree or branch would have fallen, blocking the track. This might be of interest in case you have a big ride planned in the near future. It would be appreciated if the track was cleared, rather than new tracks being formed around these blockages.
Wingecarribee Council Keeping us informed. Revised with updated link 03/07/09

And on this web site you can mark down the problem/hazard you have seen on any of the above shires roads.
| Interclub road races.posted 20/04/09 |
These races are handicap races. You will be racing with other club riders who have a similar handicap to your club handicap.
First across the finish line wins the race.
All entries close two weeks before the nominated race. This allows the handicapper time to evaluate all nominated handicaps and adjust them for fairness. A difficult job but on the whole the riders of similar ability get to ride against each other.

Subject: 2009 Goulburn Interclub program.
Following discussions with the participating Clubs, due to the unprecedented number of entires which inturn give rise to safety concerns, the Interclub races have been spilt into two Divisions.
Each Division will be run as an independant Interclub series, overall, fastest time and Club competition.
Once a rider has been placed in a Division they willstay in that Division for the entire Series.
Prize money for eachrace will be slightly less than before and the overall Series prize money will be calculated once the final pool of money is known.
Division 2 will start off first then after a gap of 10 minutes Division 1 will start. |
